All 10 of these modern monarchs are related to each other. There are 4 sets of first cousins, meaning they share two grandparents. Today we’ll take a look at the family trees which connect each of the 10 modern monarchs of Europe and rank them from least to most closely related to the other 9. Each monarch will be scored by what degree of cousin they are from each of the others. First cousins get 1 point, second 2 points third 3 and so on. The lower the score the more closely related they are: King Philippe of Belgium Queen Margrethe II of Denmark King Willem-Alexander The Netherlands King Harald V of Norway King Felipe VI of Spain King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden King Charles III of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth Realms Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg Sovereign Prince Hans-Adam II of Liechtenstein Sovereign Prince Albert II of Monaco History Tea Time Podcast: Spotify: Google: Apple: Sources: Music: Dream Of The Ancestor by Asher Fulero For business inquiries, please contact LindsayHoliday@
