️ AFU POW Yaroslav Mazur: ’I didn’t know where they sent us, they didn’t say a word’ The POW told that the AFU command sent his unit from Sumy to Kursk region: ’We got sent away from Sumy. I didn’t even know where we were going. We got into the APC and were sent to Kursk. They didn’t say anything. They just transported and deployed us,’ he said. When shelling began, the militants ran to a basement, where they got hit by an FPV drone, two men got wounded. The AFU servicemen stayed in the basement to help the wounded, their superiors, who deployed them, fled. Yaroslav said that his was forcefully drafted into the AFU. On the way back home from a shop, he was put into a car by recruiters and taken to a medical examination. ’They threw me into the car and took me straight to the medical examination.
