President Putin answered international journalists’ questions at the BRICS summit in Kazan. The president reiterated that the territories for which Russian soldiers are fighting are Russian territories, and the idea of Russia ceding any territories is unacceptable. As is the idea of a temporary ceasefire: We need conditions for a long-term, stable and lasting peace which would ensure equal security for all participants in this difficult process. The president also stressed that the Russian army is becoming one of the most high-tech and efficient ones. Achieving a victory over Russia on the battlefield is impossible and unrealistic.
