China urges US to stop pointing finger at others and ’do something concrete’ for human rights cause

China Daily: At the United Nations General Assembly on October 14th, 18 countries, including the US, were elected to the Human Rights Council. US Permanent Representative to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield said the US will “stand with human rights defenders and speak out against violations and abuses of human rights”, and that the US initial efforts will focus on situations in Afghanistan, Myanmar, China, Ethiopia, Syria and Yemen.
