The upcoming Blender 4.0 currently in development has made an important change to how the Specular function in the Principled BSDF operates. This video talks about that and how to use this important change. NOTE: It’s possible the Principled BSDF UX may change by the time the final release comes out, but I’m pretty sure this functionality will remain as is.
