Exploring the Ruins of a Frontier Homestead | Journey With Murphy

On this journey, I set out on the trail in search of the ruins of an 1800s western frontier homestead known as “Longview,” abandoned in the Poway Valley of California. built in the 1880s, this was once the home of a family who moved from Kentucky to California. In 1908, the house was destroyed either from a wild fire, an accident, or possibly even burned down by bank robbers. I also visit a pioneer cemetery where the family who once lived at Longview are laid to rest. Join me as I explore the California countryside to discover the frontier history of the west! ——— Here are some other videos you may like: Exploring Stage Coach Stops of the Old West: A California Road Trip | Journey With Murphy Battle of San Pasqual - Mexican-American War in California | Journey With Murphy Fight At Mule Hill: The Battle of San Pasqual & Grave of the Fallen Soldiers | Journey With Murphy
