How to Build a Garden Bed with Trellis Design

Last year’s garden was a looking. Danny LOVES to make a garden every summer. But without a tiller, he doesn’t get very far. So this year he asked me to help him build a garden bed and I took it one step further and added a fun decorative trellis to it. I’m showing you how it came together in this video and I’ve got the step by step tutorial here as well: We used untreated pine boards for this garden bed. We are hoping to get a few good years out of them, but we knew they would eventually rot since they aren’t treated and pine isn’t weather resistant. However, since it cost less than $100 and only a few hours to make, we were okay with knowing it would have a short life span. The trellis design was a fun addition and can be completely customized to fit your own personal style. It’s made from square dowels and simply nailed together.
