American Woodcock / Американский вальдшнеп / Scolopax minor

A male American Woodcock displaying in the spring. Woodcocks often appear on their breeding grounds while there is still snow on the ground. They do their nasal “peent“ and then fly up very high circling the area while doing a twittering aerial display.
