Plasmatics - Butcher Baby (Calderone Theatre & Bond’s Casino, NYC, 1980-1981)

This video is taken from some of the rare footage of one of the Plasmatics legendary performances at Calderone Theatre and Bond’s International Casino in NYC in 1981. The shows, all used to raise money for the Plasmatics’ Legal Defense Fund was used to defray costs from the huge legal expenses that followed from the Milwaukee “incident” that saw first Wendy arrested by the Milwaukee Vice Squad and then the subsequent beatings of both Wendy and Rod who came to her defense and that ended both of them first in the hospital and then in jail. The charges were later dismissed after a long jury trial but at a huge expense. If one looks carefully, one can see the facsimile Milwaukee Police Car that gets blown up in this very part of the show.
