World War 3: NATO troops mass on Russian border as Putin threatens nuclear strike on Europe

As the conflict between Russia and Ukraine enters its second month, NATO is preparing for the possibility of a war with Moscow. The alliance has announced plans to increase its high-readiness forces to over 300,000 troops, enhance its battle groups in the eastern part of the alliance, and deploy tens of thousands of soldiers to the Russian border. NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said the summit in Madrid this week will be “transformative” with many important decisions, including on a new Strategic Concept for a new security reality. He said NATO will reaffirm its values, assess the security challenges, and guide its future political and military development.
