Jason Momoa on playing a villain with Polynesian flair in Fast X

Jason Momoa, the Hollywood star known for his roles in Game of Thrones, Aquaman and Dune, is the latest addition to the Fast and Furious franchise. He plays the villainous Dante Reyes, a Portuguese-Brazilian crime lord who has a personal vendetta against Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel). Momoa, who was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and has Native Hawaiian and Samoan ancestry, said he enjoyed playing a bad guy for a change and bringing some of his Polynesian flair to the character. “I just feel like he’s got the aloha, you know what I mean? Just love and at the same time he just has a passion for Dom and wants to hurt him,” he told Newshub’s Māori Affairs Correspondent Te Rina Kowhai.
