Norman Finkelstein: “Gaza has become a metaphor” | Dana and Alden

We interviewed Norman Finkelstein 🍉 Full video is out on YouTube! We recently spoke with Norman Finkelstein, a prominent author and scholar of Palestinian politics, in his Brooklyn apartment. We think it’s imperative to amplify Finklestein’s perspective now more than ever. He describes Gaza as “a concentration camp,” whose population is nearly half children (47%, according to joint data from the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, the U.S. Census Bureau, and Israel Central Bureau of Statistics, compiled by NPR.) Finkelstein is a man of Polish Jewish descent, whose parents were in concentration camps in the Holocaust. He says his mother and father would be appalled by the current Israeli genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza, and by the concentration camp into which Israel has corralled those Palestinians. He has dedicated his life to Palestinian liberation. A longer edit of this interview can be found on the Dana and Alden YouTube Channel.
