Ancient Egyptian Flute Ney music

A piece for Egyptian Ney flute inspired by Percy Bysshe Shelley’s poem “Ozymandias“. A reed flute Ney is believed to be the most ancient musical instrument played up to this day. It dates back to predynastic Egypt 3000 BC and has a very simple design, it’s just a piece of cane with seven holes in it. These days Ney is a very common instrument in traditional Middle-Eastern music, in it’s Turkish, Arabic and Persian variations. The one i play in this video is Arabic(Egyptian) Ney, tuning B Kiz. I accompany the melody with Greek Bouzouki lute, Spanish Flamenco Guitar and frame drum Tar.
