The Devil Was in the Details: Pani Twardowska by Adam Mickiewicz

This wacky and whimsical story is an abridged and bowdlerised version of Polish national poet Adam Mickiewicz’s poem ‘Pani Twardowska’ – part of his ground-breaking book of Romantic poems from 1822, ‘Ballads and Romances’. ‘Pani Twardowska’ is the second of three animations set in ‘the amazing land of Quarks, Elephants and Pierogi’. All three videos show the Polish language from the perspective of its characteristic phenomena (Polish onomatopoeia taking centre-stage in this second animation) and through the prism of the works of the most outstanding authors of Polish literature.
