Pottery Glazing Tutorial: Wax Resist

Hello Pottery folk! Welcome to a tutorial on how to use Wax On Resist for pottery decoration. I will be walking you through my creative process and sharing the ins and outs of wax resist, including tips and the many hardships I encountered. I made this video for my Pottery 2 students, so enjoy baby birds! Here are some specifics on the technical side: 1. I started this video with an already bisque fired vase. 2. I am firing low fire. 3. Bisque firings are to cone 05. 4. The glaze firing is to cone 04, as I have found a hotter firing works best for the matte underglaze. 5. All of the underglazes are Amaco Lug and Velvet. 6.
