This week’s “Meteorite Crew” hangout is great for newbies and rock-hounds. We discuss how to distinguish a meteorite from a meteorwrong. What are the features of a terrestrial rock vs a real meteorite and what do they tell us? (Fusion crust, desert varnish, trapped sand, regmaglypts, visible chondrules, weathering) We discuss ‘slag’ and how to ID it.
