Walking Seattle - U District Station to Magnuson Park and Lake Washington, 2023

Starting at the U District Link Station, we walk all the way to the shores of Lake Washington in Magnuson Park. Magnuson Park was a Naval Air Station and contains many historic buildings. The naval air station was divided up between the city, which created Magnuson Park, and NOAA Western Regional Center. We traverse a number of north end neighborhoods: U District, Ravenna, Bryant, Hawthorne Hills, View Ridge, and Sand Point. We also walk on the Burke-Gilma Trail for a bit. 0:00 Walk map 0:31 Walk starts on 43rd at the U District Link Station, walking north on Brooklyn 2:50 Brooklyn and NE 45th Street 7:55 Brooklyn and NE 50th Street, turn right onto 50th 9:11 50th and University Way NE, aka The Ave, left onto the Ave 11:10 The Ave and NE 52nd Street, right onto 52nd 14:05 52nd and 17th Ave NE 17:00 52nd and 20th Ave NE, starting down stairs 22:15 Bottom of 52nd stairs and Ravenna Ave NE 27:15 25th Ave NE and NE 55th Street, head east on 55th 31:40 55th and 30th Ave NE 36:40 55th and 35th AveNE 41:15 55th and 40th Ave NE, Hawthorne Hills neighborhood 48:30 55th and Princeton Ave NE, left onto Princeton 53:15 Princeton and University Circle 54:40 Head east down hill on Vassar Ave NE 56:10 Continue down on NE 60th Street 59:10 Burke-Gilman Trail, head north 1:04:20 Burke-Gilma Trail and NE 65th Street, turn right on 65th 1:06:50 65th and Sand Point Way NE, left onto Sand Point Way 1:14:10 Sand Point Way and NE 74th Street, main entrance to Magnuson Park, head into park 1:16:10 74th and 63rd Ave NE, left o to 63rd, working my way to the north shore of the park 1:25:35 lake shore 1:27 Time for a beer!
