At The “Sock“ Hop | Music With Mr. DelGaudio | Elementary Music Activity

Get your feet ready... or your hands... well... definitely get your SOCKS ready for a sock hop! Sock hops were dances held in school gyms and auditoriums. They were given their name because kids were required to take off their shoes in order to protect the varnish on the floors of the gym or auditorium. The song we’re dancing to is called “At The Hop“ and it’s by a band that was popular in the 1950’s called Danny & the Juniors.
