Сердечно поздравляю всех работников угольной промышленности с профессиональным праздником. Его с огромным уважением к людям горняцкого дела отмечают в регионах, где эта отрасль одна из ключевых в экономике, в жизни в целом – это наши угольные бассейны от Дальнего Востока и Арктики до Сибири и Юга России. Среди них особое место занимает Кузбасс: здесь добывается более половины всего российского угля, и праздник здесь широко и ярко отмечают все жители региона. Они считают его главным событием и давно называют вторым Новым годом. К этой дате подводятся итоги работы, устраиваются производственные соревнования, ставятся профессиональные рекорды. Конечно, мы чествуем сегодня всех, кто выбрал для себя профессию проходчиков, горнорабочих, машинистов электровозов и подъёмников, маркшейдеров, горноспасателей, мастеров-взрывников, горных инженеров, представителей других шахтёрских специальностей, всех, кто посвятил себя исключительно важному делу, требующему выдержки, стойкости и готовности в любую минуту прийти на помощь товарищу. Мы помним и великие заслуги шахтёров-первопроходцев Донбасса и будем делать всё возможное, чтобы здесь возрождалась угледобыча, металлургия, другие отрасли. Уважаемые друзья! В нашей стране принимают сегодня поздравления почти 150 тысяч горняков, работающих на шахтах, угольных разрезах и обогатительных фабриках. Всем известен сильный, прямой, упорный шахтёрский характер, достоинство рабочего человека, который уверен, что именно его труд – главный путь к повышению благосостояния семьи, города, родной страны. Отдельно хочу обратиться к семьям всех, кто отмечает День шахтёра. Только с вашей поддержкой можно заниматься этим тяжёлым трудом, который нередко связан с риском. Уголь всегда был, есть и будет нужен. И сама угольная отрасль по-прежнему имеет большие перспективы развития. От её роста и успехов во многом зависит благополучие, будущее нашей страны. Kuzbass occupies a special place among them: more than half of all Russian coal is mined here, and the holiday is widely and brightly celebrated by all residents of the region. They consider it the main event and have long called it the second New Year. By this date the work results are summarised, production competitions are arranged, professional records are set. Of course, today we honour all those who chose the profession of tunnellers, mine workers, electric locomotive and hoist drivers, surveyors, mine rescuers, blasting masters, mining engineers, representatives of other mining specialties, all those who devoted themselves to the extremely important work that requires endurance, fortitude and readiness at any moment to come to the aid of a comrade. We remember the great merits of the pioneer miners of Donbass and will do our best to revive coal mining, metallurgy and other industries here. Dear friends!
