Live: Where is the herd of wild Asian elephants?

A herd of wild Asian elephants has taken on a journey northward since last March. On Friday, they were wandering in Yuxi City, southwest China’s Yunnan Province. This elephant family was spotted playing in mud after rainfall. Asian elephants are under A-level state protection in China. Thanks to unremitting efforts in protection, the wild elephant population in Yunnan, where they are mostly found, has grown from 193 in the 1980s to some 300 today.
