Is Sonic The Hedgehog too fast for the original Game Boy? Sonic SMA Ti-89 graphics + 8-bit music

This is not a real Game Boy game and doesn’t take into consideration all the Game Boy limitations, it was made just for the fun :) The graphics were captured from Sonic SMA (Ti-89 graphic calculator version) and the 8-bit music plus sound effects added by myself.
