UN General Assembly Third Committee adopts 19th N. Korean human rights resolution

UN 3위원회, 북 인권결의안 19년 연속 채택 The UN General Assembly’s human rights committee adopted on Wednesday its 19th resolution on North Korean human rights. The resolution condemns North Korea’s systemic and widespread human rights violations. The Third Committee, which handles human rights issues, held a meeting at the UN headquarters in New York and passed the resolution by consensus without a vote. The North Korean human rights resolution has been adopted for the 19th time in a row, starting in 2005 , and will be sent to a plenary session next month.
