In fact, I joined my first professional band at the age of 19 as a second guitar player to the leader of the band who is billed as “the fastest guitar player in the world“. To be candid, the band was extremely demanding and one of the most demanding positions in the band was that of the lead singer. The leader of the band wanted a Steve Perry/Mickey Thomas kind of voice as we rehearsed 18 songs back-to-back, 3-4 times per week, not including gigs on the weekends.
