Engelbert Humperdinck - “Those Were The Days“ 1971

This is one of those recordings that remained “in the can“ for several years before appearing on the mail order only LP in 1975 entitled “20 Greatest Hits“. It surfaced again in 1978 on the London records compilation LP “Love Letters“. I believe it was recorded in either 1970 or 1971 and was probably meant to be included on either the “We Made It Happen“ or the “Sweetheart“ LPs. It’s anybody’s guess.
