Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 tortoise and hare (commercial, 1997)

Jeep ad from 1997 shows the tortoise pursuing and passing the hare using what was at the time the world’s fastet SUV. SUVs were a new market and still concentrated on value (price) not speed, so it wasn’t really all that fast. The SUV market would change in the following years. This spot aired during KRON’s show “Sit Down with Gary Radnich“ directly after the 5th game of the Baseball World Series on NBC on October 23rd, 1997.
