In 2001, archaeological excavations at Newbridge, near Edinburgh Airport, uncovered a surprising find – an Iron Age chariot burial, the first one known from Scotland. A carefully made replica of the chariot can be seen in the Celts exhibition at the National Museum of Scotland until 25 September 2016. Here, maker Robert Hurford explains how the archaeological evidence was used to recreate the chariot.
