Severn Valley Railway - Autumn Steam Gala (2023)

Lineside action from the renowned Severn Valley Railway autumn steam gala featuring four guest engines and the ever reliable stable of homefleet engines. LNER B1 class Mayflower was billed as the star guest which was backed up by the American S160 2253 ’Omaha’ which would definitely liven up the proceedings of the four day mega steam gathering. The third guest was coutesy of the Mid Hants Railway and it was in the form of the LMS 2MT Ivatt ’41312’ which would be a firm favourite among many. The final guest was the Bagnall industrial loco 401 ’Vulcan’ we would be seen on plenty of local services. The homefleet were all in attendance and performed superbly across the event, most notably Great Western Pannier Tank 7714 with an ear deafening climb of Eardington Bank on the final day of the gala, this is showcased at start of the video with a soundtrack to remember ! The weather was pretty poor across the four days with Friday being the brighter day. The timetable was ambitious
