The Bird Nest - A Bird’s Home

A bird nest is a very sacred place where a bird lays and keeps its eggs warm enough for them to eventually hatch and, then, raise its chicks. Last summer, I had the wonderful experience of watching a bird nest right in my very own backyard. Birds build their nests very quickly using a variety of materials or sometimes they are merely shallow holes in the sand. Sticks, grasses, feathers, twigs, moss, mud, yarn, pebbles, trash, snakeskin, spider and fur are a few of the materials used for nesting. Female birds do most of the nesting. Once the eggs have hatched, the mother and father birds become very busy finding food and feeding their hungry little chicks. Enjoy the amazing and beautiful views of birds enjoying and using their own creations of wonderful nests to build and raise their families.
