Soaring between the spectacular peaks of the Ecrins mountains
One of the highlights of flying in the French Alps is when you can do the run along the main ridge of the Ecrins mountain range, known by glider pilots as the Parcours Royal.
The jagged peaks, reaching up to over 4000 m, are awe-inspiring, and running north to south, you can make a continuous glide through the entire run. Going north you will have to gain some altitude along the way. This video goes first north, then a run south.
