THE HOST (2006) | FIRST TIME WATCHING | REACTION | American Watches Korean Film
I don’t know if I would consider this a “horror“ film, but I still enjoyed it. And as always, there’s a deeper social/cultural story just beneath the surface, which I always appreciate. All the Bong Joon-ho staples were there: the chaotic scenes, tone shifts, humor, and fathers struggling to be better.
My favorite scene: when they were eating together and Hyun-seo sat up from behind the table, and when Gang-Doo’s father explained why he’s always sleeping.
