Robotic Hand - Finger Prototype

Prototype finger for a mechanical hand I am developing. Built from leftover materials and parts found in a local hardware store it is extremely low-tech. The wood is too brittle for the construction and will probably be replaced with board or plastic in the next phase. The springs will have increased length and the joining edges will be beveled off more to allow a tighter grip. Apologies for the crappy video quality, I did not have any time to prepare any of this. Next time will be better.
