Coffin of Iranian president arrives in Tehran as thousands mourn

Iranian officials and religious figures received the coffins of Iranian president, Ebrahim Raisi and companions in Tehran, during a ceremony on Tuesday (May 21). Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, a hardliner seen as a potential successor to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed when his helicopter crashed in poor weather in mountains near the Azerbaijan border, officials and state media said on Monday.
