Wartime Watch Restoration - Ladies Very Small 1940s Swiss Jewelled Movement

This Wartime 1940s Ladies Watch with Swiss made movement by Gruen was sent to me by from the United States by a very nice chap called Ernest. As with most World War II Ladies watches the movement is really very small, the whole thing would fit inside the mainspring barrell of a man’s pocket watch with room to spare. The watch arrived not working and not winding. The crown was also falling off. Ladies watches in Wartime America were all very small by today’s standards and this one is a very good example. Once fixed up it was really very easy to operate and the blued hands against the pale champagne dial show the time very clearly despite their tiny size. The watch is now on its way back to the US to be worn by the lovely Lisa, recently returned herself from an adventurous time away. The watch belonged to her grandmother and so the family heirloom lives on. I do not do much talking in this video leaving, for the most part, the action on screen to tell the story. website: https://www.
