Can older people do ART?| Art-Club Black Square makes installation on Fairy Tails of Pushkin #naive

I am Lada Onishchik - a leader of Art-Club “ Black Square” in Khamovniky, Moscow. We are a self organized club of older people, who love Art and culture. We are trying to realize our creativity and creativity of other older people using many different techniques of Art. And making video ourselves. We are the part of the Government of Moscow Project “Moscow Longevity“ The magical sparkling panel “Pushkin’s Fairy Tales through the eyes of the older generation“ was created in Moscow at the Khamovniki Moscow Longevity Center. The Black Square Art Club, which is headed by Lada Onishchik and which initiated the creation of this panel, and the participants of the Moscow Longevity project from all over Moscow worked on this panel on August 10. They couldn’t fit into one location: they were drawing in the workshop, and the layout and assembly was carried out on a long table in the media room. They drew, knitted, made origami, sewed, glued and cut, discussed fairy tales and even sang!!! They used drawings and art objects and wooden dies with ornaments and quotes from Pushkin’s fairy tales. The main element of the panel was a mighty pink fairy oak - a symbol of the immortality of Pushkin’s fairy tales, and the power of the Russian language!!! It took another three days to make the substrate and fix all the created masterpieces. A huge panel of 1,60x2,50 meters! Only on August 10, 44 people took part in the creation of the works. And in total, 61 people took part in its creation for all 4 days! The help of friendly clubs from other districts, including “Convenient City“ and “Kraski Zhizni“, was especially pleasant!!! On August 10, the entire creative process at the Khamovniki began with a presentation by the leader of the Black Square art club, Lada Onishchik, about naive art and about the previous experience of various institutions organizing exhibitions in honor of A.S. Pushkin! And then it started! No one expected so much real creative energy and imagination from the participants! How many different techniques and techniques they demonstrated! And those who did not know how to draw at all were engaged in placing Pushkin’s quotes, or helped to cut or glue! No one was left out! And it was wonderful! It would not be fair to single out one of all the participants, but it is impossible not to mention Galina Alexandrovna! She is 80 years old, but she draws and creates textile toys with incredible youthful energy and is full of creative ideas!!! She made a mermaid, a cat, a bumblebee, a goldfish, as well as a cockerel, huts on chicken legs and a Balda for the panel and embroidered them!! All of them found their place on the panel “Pushkin’s Fairy Tales through the eyes of the older generation“! 😍❤️🏆 Delight and immense gratitude!!! And it’s also great that some of the materials (paints, brushes, pistols with gnarled glue, glue) were provided by the Khamovniki Center of longevity. The whole day of August 9 was spent on the manufacture of a solid basis, to which all the elements were attached. It took two more days for the Black Square Art Club to solve the technical problems of placing the works and attaching them and installing the panel itself. Partially used and useless materials were used for the substrate and some works! Including boxes from wheelchairs and pampas, which were shared by the Center! It’s wonderful when the old and used becomes art!!! Upcycling however)))!!!
