Fumetsu no Anata e OP | Hikaru Utada - PINK BLOOD Piano Cover

Man, this was one of the songs i definitely wanted to cover after hearing from the PV but after the actual one came out, i realised it would be a hella lot harder than i thought. It’s a really chill simple song with only a few melodies but what makes it so beautiful was the layers of her voice, creating intentional clashes and really nice harmonies. It didn’t really work that well when i translated it onto the piano so i had to take a different route. The original is also very “free time“ so i tried to vary the rhythm on the notes to give it that loose feel. I added a bunch of stuff inside to make the song thicker and to try to replicate that feeling of layered voices, in my own way. Honestly, a vocal cover of this song would sound wayy better than this, the layering just works so well in the original and i didn’t know how to do it on the piano right, but i still hope you enjoy this chill little piece!
