The Beach Boys- Don’t Back Down

This is a slideshow video for The Beach Boys 1964 surfing song ’Don’t Back Down’ written by the great team of Brian Wilson and Mike Love. Summer’s here and the time is right for a Beach Boys video about their favorite early career subject: Surfing! I’ve done many videos featuring the music of The Beach Boys, but I’ve never done a video for any of their surfing songs so I thought it was high time I did. So, here is the result; not one of their earlier surfing songs that brought them to fame, but ’Don’t Back Down’ a surfing tune that first appeared on their 1964 beauty ’All Summer Long’. This was recorded at a time when the Beach Boys had turned away from making Surf records and were looking to their future with ever more sophisticated songwriting and production values.
