An Evening with Kevin Beasley at the Guggenheim

To learn more, visit Kevin Beasley’s commission by the Guggenheim’s Young Collectors Council on the occasion of Storylines: Contemporary Art at the Guggenheim, Strange Fruit (Pair I) and (Pair II) (2015) incorporate the sounds of the museum into sculptures made from sneakers, foam, resin, and other materials. For this performance, the artist used the sounds recorded by these objects to build environmental and experimental compositions.
