Weber Number Impact on Falling Droplets (Multiphase) ∇ OpenFOAM®
An arbitrary test case to get an idea about the Weber number impact of falling droplets. Holzmann CFD was inspired after interesting talks to Tobias Holzmann’s former colleague, Christian Gomez Rodrigues; he is an expert in the field of dispersion, multiphase, droplet forming, and so forth. The given Weber numbers right at the beginning of the videos are just estimations and do not represent a 100 % correct quantity.
Case setup:
- Symmetry planes left and right
- Opened top patch
- A closed wall at the bottom with an initial water level
- 2D case
