Apostle of Ruins / Griuvesiu apastalas (1992) dir. Audrius Stonys
“While shooting with Sharunas Bartas, I met a Georgian man, Alexander Oboladze. We lived in the same hotel room. From being a restaurant and party tycoon he became completely solitary. In this strange situation the man is stranded away from his homeland but he hasn’t lost his mentality, his language; he’s just like an exotic tree grown in Lithuania. He was wandering around Vilnius old town, he knew every corner and basement of it like no one else. He was looking and finding lost time, things left by other men, and creating from that his own unique world.“
