Here’s my acoustic cover of Trivium’s “Throes of Perdition“ from their album Shogun.
In 2010, when I worked for Acoustic Guitar Magazine, I had the opportunity to try out the Taylor 8-String I quickly learned and recorded the guitar parts to “Throes of Perdition“. Since I had to do that all in one night, it’s not exactly my finest performance. Plus, some of those guitar parts sound like mud when done acoustically and without a rhythm section. However, since there’s a lack of decent acoustic Trivium covers on should offer some food for thought. The melody was recorded in 2011 on my trust Taylor 314-ce (I love that guitar).
