The Dancing Twos! | Jack Hartmann
The Dancing 2’s ©by Jack Hartmann helps students to learn to count to 100 as they skip count by 2’s. To make this a brain-based math activity, have the students hold up two fingers on each hand. As they count by 2’s they should sweep their right hand over to the left side of their body and then back again, doing the same from left to right. Crossing the mid-line (middle) of their body helps to encourage strong development of left brain/right brain communication. Another benefit is strengthening muscle coordination, which can support the development of fine motor skills such as writing numbers and drawing shapes.
Count to 100 by 2’s.
