🚧🚤 Bridge Closure Update in Pasig City, Philippines! 🚤🚧 On July 25, 2024, the F. Manalo Bridge in Pasig City, Philippines, sustained significant damage after a collision with wayward barges and boats during the onslaught of Typhoon Carina. Several critical cracks were found, and some posts were toppled, leading to an immediate closure of the bridge. 🛑 Authorities are currently assessing the integrity of the structure to determine if it can be retrofitted or if it must be condemned. 🏗️ “This is purely an accident although it’s still under investigation,” according to the authorities, explaining that the barges were swept away by the strong current caused by excessive rainfall in the mountains. 🌧️ Motorists are advised to take alternate routes during this time. The Pasig City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, led by Bryant Wong, has confirmed that alternative routes are available. 🚗🔀 During this incident, approximately 20 people were rescued.
