A delicious and simple chocolate-vanilla cake.
Butter and eggs should be at room temperature.
175g caster sugar
175g unsalted butter
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
3 eggs
225g flour
2 tsp. baking powder
50g dark chocolate
Icing sugar (for sprinkling)
1. Cream the butter and sugar until smooth.
2. Pour the vanilla essence. stir up.
3. Gradually add the eggs, combin all together.
4. Add the sifted flour and baking powder.
Mix to combine ingredients.
5. Melt the chocolate in a water bath and let it cool
down.
6. Split mixture in half. Add to one part
melted chocolate and mix gently.
7. Pour the chocolate mass into the greased or lined
by paper cake mold. Put the second part on top.
8. Bake at 190•c/380•f (without convection) 30-40
min.
9. Leave in the mold to cool.
10. Sprinkle with icing sugar.
