Our Sun the hydrogen bomb. EISCAT 3D

Documentary film about the Earth’s relationship with a star one million times it size and just eight light minutes away. To study the interaction between the Sun and the Earth, scientist plan to build the next generation of radars in the frozen North of Scandinavia. EISCAT 3D will consist of a massive field of 100,000 antennas, it will be the most sophisticated radar ever built and a massive technological challenge. It will help us predict space weather, protecting astronauts and satellites from dangerous solar activity, and also help us understand and predict global warming better.
