It’s all the rage in China. Many businesses are cashing in on the “mystery box“ craze, where consumers make an order and get a surprise when they open the package. No item is spared -- with live pets are packaged and sent. A blind box customer often doesn’t know whether they will be receiving a turtle, puppy or a kitten -- and in many cases dead or barely alive.
