Twisted Sister guitarist Jay Jay French shares the story of his bands struggle with Atlantic Records President Doug Morris! Doug famously declared that if an employee of his mentioned Twisted Sister’s name he would fire them and made it his mission to make things as difficult as possible for Jay Jay, Dee Snider and the rest of Twisted Sister! Jay Jay describes the issues the band faced, despite increasing sales figures and incredible live performances - but that eventually, Doug Morris was forced to back down and apologize! Morris then helped set Twisted Sister on to glory by utilising the new power of MTV that helped make the band a household name. Hits like “We’re Not Gonna Take It“ and “I Wanna Rock“ broke big time and still live on in the consciousness of society today.
