Toronto Zoo Welcomes Indian Rhino Calf!

The Toronto Zoo’s 11 year old female rhinoceros Ashakiran, gave birth to a male calf on Wednesday, February 17th at 9:42 pm. A rhinoceros’ gestation period lasts 462-491 days (approximately 16 months) and this is the first surviving calf for Asha and Vishnu, our 12 year old male rhino.
