VITUS BERING & ALEKSEY CHIRIKOV, MULTIFUNCTIONAL ICEBREAKING SUPPLY VESSELS

Arctech received an order for two new multifunctional icebreaking supply vessels from the Russian shipping giant Sovcomflot in 2010. The vessels were built for Sakhalin-1 Arkutun-Dagi gas field, where they are used as supply vessels for Exxon Neftegas Limited’s platform. The main purpose for these vessels is to supply the gas production platform and to protect it from the ice. Vitus Bering was delivered to client Sovcomflot on December 2012. Sister vessel Aleksey Chirikov was delivered on April 2013.
