This is the perfect DIY EASTER project or home decor item for a nursery/kid’s room. Materials used: 1) 5mm macrame cord - I used 5mm cord in Buttercream: 2) 1 x 8“ mirror - 3) 1 x 8“ or 7.5“ ring - Special tools: You’ll need a hot glue gun / strong glue and a crochet hook (the crochet hook is not needed if the macrame is glued directly to the mirror). Then tie an Overhand knot at the back. 06:36 - Step #2 : Place a 140 cm cord down horizontally and attach 3 x 140 cm cords vertically with Double Half Hitch (“DHH“) knots in the middle. 08:42 - Step #3 : Fold the right cord end over to the left for 3 DHH knots. 09:45 - Step #4 : Add another row of 3 DHH knots underneath. Repeat the same on the other side. 11:47 - Step #5 : Take a strand of cord at 120 cm long and make 2 vertical DHH knots on the Top and bottom anchor cords. 12:18 - Step #6 : Add a row of DHH knots on both sides. 13:21 - Step #7 : Attach a 110 cm cord onto the top and bottom anchor cords with Vertical DHH knots. 13:33 - Step #8 : Make another row of DHH knots on both sides. Then bring the sides together at the bottom for a diagonal DHH knot. 14:16 - Step #9 : Add 2 consecutive rows of DHH knots on both sides. 14:44 - Step #10 : At the bottom of the second row, add a diagonal DHH knot. 15:02 - Step #11 : Repeat for another 2 consecutive DHH knot rows on both sides. Then finish off with a diagonal DHH knot. 15:29 - Step #12 : Include the working cord with the anchor cord for the next DHH knot, then snip off the previous cord. Repeat all the way down and on the other side. 17:28 - Step #13 : Repeat for same bunny ears pattern once more. 17:42 - Step #14 : Snip off excess cord ends and glue the ends to the pattern. 20:12 - Step #15 : Take a 150 cm cord and weave it through the ring and at the back of the mirror.
