Vanishing Water Ice on Mars. Dodo-Goldilocks trench shows ice sublimation
Phoenix lander, dispatched by NASA, made significant findings regarding the presence of ice on Mars. Using the Surface Stereo Imager (SSI) instrument, the lander captured high-resolution images showcasing the sublimation process of ice in the trench known as “Dodo-Goldilocks“ over a span of four days. These images provide visual evidence of the progressive disappearance of ice, a result of sublimation, where ice directly transforms into vapor given the atmospheric conditions of Mars.
Phoenix lander’s digging activities uncovered ice beneath a layer of sand in various trenches, further confirming the presence and dynamic behavior of ice on the Martian surface. To enhance the understanding of these fascinating discoveries, mine renders have been included in this video to help visualize the processes involved. In the end I included propagation of Dusty Clouds on Mars with water ice component. With the images captured in stunning 4K resolution and the combination of visual and physical evide
